Customer Highlight: Spes3D
What do our customers say?
Spes3D
from Poland
In our Customer Highlight series, we’re excited to share insights from Łukasz Kuban, the Head of Additive Manufacturing at Spes3D. They are a leading Polish company in the 3D printing and engineering services sector, based in Wroclaw.
Spes3D’s core business revolves around powder 3D printing production in both metal alloys and polymers, with an Additive Industries MetalFAB system and an HP MJF 4210 printer at its heart. Their customer base includes major automotive and aerospace brands and other industrial clients. This customer base puts a high focus on automation and efficient lead times.
Hey Łukasz, can you share what your post-processing workflow was like before investing in the CCP-2 automated solution from AM Efficiency?
”Before CCP-2, we used a smaller sandblasting drum without a rubber lining, which often led to parts breaking during the cleaning process. We had to make various modifications, including a manual mode, to address the issues.”
“And with small objects, we had to put them in bags and clean them manually, which didn’t always give satisfactory results. As you can imagine, with parts often requiring to be reprinted or cleaned several times, the pressure on us to meet lead times was immense.”
That sounds challenging. How has the CCP-2 solution impacted your operations?
”The CCP-2 has been a game-changer! The ionization feature alone means we can skip an entire process step, and parts can literally go directly from the machine to the delivery box.”
“For high-volume orders with small parts, I can load hundreds of elements into the drum, and it takes care of the job efficiently. This frees up our engineers to focus on innovation and delivering more value to our customers.”
